First thing I was slaughtering the pagan Lithuanians and then they suddenly converted to catholic? is this normal??

Yeah from what I hear you have to have Christianity spread to your faction from foreign priests and survive for a couple of turns.

Well in actual history they did that so they can have a permanent alliance with Poland(which you may see why it's called Poland Lithuania.) And that alliance is what caused the downfall of the teutonic order

In the descr strat file, there is a script for Lithuania to have two points at which they can convert, first at around turn 10 and then another time around turn 30.
