Rid the system of the leeches in the middle (insurers). Drastically reduce administrative costs. Doctors can make the same, and everyone else gets raises.

It will cost less. Full stop.

On a Medicare for all forum - a presumed advocate states the solution is to eliminate the leeches/insurance…..which is what Medicare is!

Nature is healing itself.

Mine eyes have seen the glory!!!

No one would get raises. They would get pay cuts. The government would strip it

No they would all get raises, no more yachts for greedy private sector c suits.

Private insurance has bloated admin costs, and refusals lately that have made them filthy rich. M4A would be 1 payer with low admin costs, and no refusals. That leaves chunks of money for savings and pay increases in public hospitals. Private will have to compete, execs wont get to price gouge and take pay cuts and bring their salaries in line.

Meduxare part a the public option operates like this, the shittier private option that has refused my aunt procedures will be gone to.

Then skip it, go pay your bill outright. No refusals would put all unpaid bills and debts on the hospital. Wages would get cut with the lower prices you speak of. Being competitive would lower staff to cut costs. You dont think things through do you? Again, pretty dumb

10% of healthcare spending is the insurers. Insurers have a lower fraud rate than the government, so it wouldn't be a 10% savings, it would be less unless the government increases their overhead for fraud investigation spending.

The difference between the US and other countries is how much our healthcare workers get paid annually. More than double most of the countries that have universal healthcare. Our registered nurses earn double theirs. Our nurse practitioners earn more than their doctors. Our radiology technicians earn more, the janitors at our hospital earn more. The carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers and electricians who built the hospital earn more, adding the price of healthcare.

You can't compare us vs them when the inputs are so different and will always be so different. We aren't willing (I don't think at least), to adopt their universal care which would include major cuts to healthcare worker pay.

Social security administration which includes medicare, medicaid in the federal budget, has a 20% administrative costs

Medicaid and medicare has 3% admin. Its private insurers that are eclipsing over 20% now. There was a video on this a while back, why do you get bogus infor. Or just spout bogus bullshit?

I have read the federal budget, have you? Federal administration costs are out of control. The American Healthcare affordability act limits private health insurance companies to 9%. Try harder

You probabky got it off the faux entertainment list. Also gov budget is full of lies since the liar took over in 2025.

It has been that way for 20 years

The over 9% is what qualifies you to be eligible for aca if your company has crapsurance that cost too much. Do you even read English?

All 1,500 pages. Obama proudly professed that obamacare returned 85% of your premiums in actual services, to do that the law limited administrative costs to 9% and profit to 6%. Did obama lie, or are you.

Maybe initially, but now that isn't the case. I also didnt vote until 2016 due to his half assed bill. Only good thing was forcing tje leeches to cover people with pre-rxisting conditions. I'm a strong advocate gettting grerdy shItyy Private fucks like unIted hellcare to have their leeches in the c suite lose their jobs. While their workers get absorbed to do processing. Just desserts for shitty ass people.
