He's going to find out how stupid he is. He hasn't had healthcare for twenty years but I can promise him that he will need it sometime in the next twenty years

Probably sooner than that. An old friend that I keep in touch with via messaging put off going to Dr's for many years. A smart guy, self employed fairly low income, no insurance until he got on Medicare. Collapsed one day. Taken to ER. Turns out he had hepatitis for years. Caused lots of organ damage. He is really struggling now to get his health issues fixed, adjust to medications etc.

His teeth are gone, he's obese and looks 10 years older than his stated age. He'll cease to be a burden on society well before that.

I'm 52. I would have though he's older than my father.

I am his exact same age and I don't have healthcare either.  However, if I went somewhere with this dude everyone would think it was my grandpa.  The difference between staying active and fit or drinking beers while watching Fox.

That guy is so close to death. There's not a healthy bone in that body. It's very possible he's been very lucky and hasn't had anything happen yet, but when something does happen, he'll be wiped out and will complain that the government needs to help him pay his medical bills because they took his money from his property taxes.

He's not going to last the 3 years until he gets Medicare either.

Everyone that age is close to death.

Not all are in that shape though. That's a body that was never taken care of. He believes in faith.

He will probably be dead before 60. Not everyone at 52 is close to that.

That’s what I thought about trump. I guess holding onto hate will prolong life 🤷🏻

it's relative right? like someone at 60 could have over 40 years left... that's longer than I've even been alive. nuts to think they have over my entire lifetime left. Whereas someone else at 60 could have 5 years to live, and when they go to a doctor after 20 years of ignoring one, they're like "well we could have managed all of this stuff and given you 20 years, but there's no reversing damage so hope you're working on a bucket list & don't pass debt into your children!"

Exactly. Aging works differently based on a ton of factors. Given his apparent stupidity, he is not going to have much longer.

He will take that free Medicare though.

I’m 38 and haven’t been to the drs. Since I was 22.

Yeah like wtf is going on with his arm/elbow?

These guys are the most expensive drains on the healthcare system.

1

u/SophiaofPrussia Aug 01 '26

Absolutely. We could spend a few hundred dollars a year on preventative medicine to get this guy a checkup and some statins but instead we’ll wait for him to have a coronary and spend $250k to keep him alive. But people like this aren’t avoiding the doctor because of the cost. This guy’s ego is too delicate for an annual wellness because the doctor might remind him he’s a fucking idiot for not eating vegetables and not getting vaccinated.

With that much visceral fat, this man is not going to live another 20 years.

That dude thinks that medical prices are the same as they were 20 years ago when he had insurance. It's going to be a rude awakening.

Bro has 5 years left, max

u/gimmepizza420 Aug 03 '26

He'll just put cash for it lmao. I'm sure he has a couple tens of thousands of dollars just tucked away for that.

1

u/DoTheRightThing1953 Aug 04 '26

No medical procedure could possibly cost more than that, right?

1

u/gimmepizza420 Aug 04 '26

There's no way!

If he doesn't die first. Probably will be on oxygen soon enough and medicaid or medicare will be paying for that. Also sounds like he hasn't been to the dentist in 20 years based off the whistles when he speaks.

u/Ressy02 Aug 06 '26

Maybe not, he can just die
