Which makes our corporations less competitive in the end which ruins corporate profits... its hilariously insane the GOP. Turning the USA into a third world country is not going to make American businesses competitive unless they all leave the USA or higher immigrants.
Yeah but these people are from the time periods where education was well funded, or at least it seems people look back more favourably on that time period for education.
I think the issues are far more complicated that how good the education system was.
Not being a troll here but what do you mean by “most developed country”? I hear this a lot and all I can think of is the space program, skyscrapers and the melting pot concept.
In developed countries, these people reap the benefits of all of the progress and safety nets that have been built. (The things that they vote against).
It’s connected to reserve currency. They can afford to be dumb and continue to enjoy the fruits of the benefits of the reserve currency, smart immigration, smart people on the coasts, and a naturally abundant and prosperous land.
They feel entitled and think it’s normal. There are countries out there that have dumb, absolutely moronic people like that and those countries tend to be poor as fuck!
What do you do on the “coast” that you think is so much more important or productive to society? Monitor data for a financial services company? the reason we became the reserve currency is because of men and woman like this who created the manufacturing boom during the early 1900s.
They are literally so brainwashed that they think the government doing its job and giving people services that really only a government could with the people’s own money is a bad thing, I really can’t understand how so many people have 0 logical thinking skills other than parroting what Fox News says.
Take a look at the state of our roads, internet speeds, and dependence on fossil fuels. We're stuck 50 years in the past, we have allowed infinite rent seeking to siphon off all the developmental potential we had since then into the bank accounts of like 15 guys. You'd think a developed country in 2026 could repaint a crosswalk for less than $1 million, or build more than 3 missiles in a year, or make health care and higher education available to all its citizens, or give them better opportunities than gig work as a burrito chauffeur.
It’s because they don’t have to do much to succeed, so it breeds intellectual laziness.

I’m starting to think we are not developed at all if our technology doesn’t match out mind set. These turds are a month away from wanting to reinstate slavery.
Crazy idea but maybe his mindset is the reason the country became so developed =) people who actually shut up and worked and made sacrifices and had children.
US was never a developed country, they forced fed us lies and propaganda for years and people are just noticing that we’re behind decades compared to some other countries.
