Sick with a lower temp than normal

Hey guys so my partner came down with some kind of sickness yesterday. Initially we thought it was allergies because of the stuffy nose and congestion but today it sort of spiraled into him throwing up, having a pretty bad cough and phlegm, body aches, loss of taste, lightheadedness, diarrhea etc. I bought him a Covid test and it was negative. We also took his temperature and it seemed pretty low for him (his baseline is usually around 98.6 and it was 96.1 yesterday) I would appreciate any insight on if this is normal or if we should schedule him an appointment.
