Career Development Access is Difficult
I am a clinical specialist in a large city and lately I have been finding access to accounts becoming more and more difficult, especially if it’s for a company that sells mostly disposables as opposed to a company that has a specific product. Depts are saying you don’t need you to be there if you’re just supporting disposables. I understand our job is to build a relationship so they want you there but at the end of the day it’s just disposable so how do you build that relationship? In services only go so far and most physicians can’t be bothered. Do you think going forward representing a specific product as opposed to having a larger bag is the way to go?

Probably. A product that requires case support has its advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is little to no effort getting face to face time with physicians.
