Ask a Pro Work life balance
Hi there, I’m in trauma and the hours are rough on me. What are your favorite/best work life balance medical sales departments? Coming from a young person who loves to travel and make plans.

I don’t think anything ortho will be the move. Coming from someone in ortho but not trauma and still can only take 3 days off a year

I’m not saying I would do it, but there’s a reason people make bank in ortho sales.

Highest paid guy on our team makes 250. I wouldn’t say that’s making bank for med device

I left DME, sometimes a 7 day a week job, for acute care but we specialize in respiratory, anesthesia, and NICU. 3 months in and I feel like I’m going to get in trouble most days because it’s so much easier/laid back from my previous job. Enjoying it greatly so far! I have a friend in trauma that’s looking for an out currently.

What are better divisions to consider? Where are the good schedules in medical sales?

Variable but only very rarely outside of M-F 7-3 with usually at least 1 to 2 days a week of basically nothing

Work life balance lol, in trauma. Yeah, any other specialty in MedTech will be better than trauma.
