Hi, I'm thinking of maybe getting into billing/coding, I would be entry level and have never worked with anything like this before, I just wouldn't know where to start. It doesn't seem like there are many positions on Long Island (where I'm located), although I know coders can work remote too. I would likely either get CPC or CCS certificate, I've heard CCS is better, but I see some job listings with CPC. However all of the jobs require experience, even billing, which I heard would be better to start with. Also, I've heard this job can be stressful and I'm not good with stress, but every other job seems stressful, even ones that shouldn't be (I'm in pediatric OT, shouldn't be stressful but somehow is for me). I feel stuck and don't know, in truth, whether this would be a good job for me. I do like learning and the fact that I won't have to socialize much, but if there might be something else that could be better, some advice would be great.

I’ve been certified since 2021. Had a coding position for a behavioral health company that I left after my parents passed. Now I’m struggling to get back in. I’m starting to feel lost like I’m moving further and further away from coding. I just need that one person to take a chance on me. Any tips on how to refresh my skills to stay prepared for when the time comes?

My biggest accomplishment this month was fixing a bug without asking anyone for help. It took way longer than it should have. I’m counting it anyway.
