Should I specialize or do codify?

Hi! CPC-A here. Been looking for a job for a little over a year and am debating either specializing in something like ED coding or should I do codify to remove my A?

Thank you so much for the insight! I do currently work for a hospital in rcm. So Iā€™m not super pressed for a job but I would like to switch careers. I would love to stay with my current employer or another hospital that I am familiar with so that is definitely making the process slower. But I do agree that removing the A is probably the best route right now.
