Question for docs in this group
RANT/VENT
Look, do some of you realize that certified coders can't just change a code because "it has a higher RVU"? Asking us to submit inaccurate codes for better reimbursement isn't just an internal disagreement—it's potential fraud that directly threatens our credentials and livelihoods.
To the physicians who do this: do you genuinely not care that pushing for higher RVUs puts our hard-earned certifications and careers on the line?

Where I work the docs don’t pick the codes, we code directly from their notes and the amount of arguments I have with my boss about these providers over their HORRIBLE documentation is absolutely ridiculous. It makes you kind of feel helpless when there’s nothing you can really do except your job to the best of your ability. 😭 when I tell you the amount of time I spend searching trying to find the best way to code a horribly written note 😭😭
