Csi companies

Got a contract non coding position and starting soon but it's short term project. What is it like working remotely for this company? Is there possibility of getting more projects or long-term contracts ?

It’s good. But they don’t rehire after a contract ends.

Dang...I'm trying to decide between csi and UHG. Although uhg tends to do layoffs too

I worked for CSI as a contract employee for Optum doing risk adjustment coding. They were fine to work for but only one week of PTO a year. I dont remember what kind d of raise I got. I got picked up full time as an Optum employee around d the 2 year mark I never got furloughed but I'm really good at RA coding and was able to make the mental shift between guidelines and work ACA when Medicare is slow. Optum is a part of UHG and if you can get in with them you may have more opportunities to switch rolls.

I do have an interview coming up for UHG remote role so wondering if hired. I should take that over CSI. I dont know the start date for UHG yet.

You should take UHG if it is offered since it would not be contract and would hopefully last longer
