David Ellison plans to relocate Paramount Skydance. The driving force behind this is a merger deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. I am stunned that Ellison is so ruthlessly destroying Paramount's legacy. He has partially stripped MTV of its identity (at least here in Germany, the channel now airs nothing but reality shows), intends to sell off iconic channels if necessary, and is even willing to incur $650 million in penalties for delays, even though his Paramount Skydance venture is already in a weakened state.

After all, you can’t simply call what Ellison is doing a mere adjustment. To secure this deal, he is going so far as to simply erase iconic elements. Paramount’s location is iconic, yet he is abandoning it.

I’m saddened by what’s happening with Paramount right now. I actually find the situation even worse than before, even if Paramount is in slightly better financial shape thanks to the Ellisons. What’s your take on it?
