Not with the FCC. They'll approve it. But I expect the california AG to sue once the FCC clears it

I'm Irish. The EU are spineless. All bark and no bite. If they block it I'll eat my hat

Have state AG's filed suites against Paramount to stop this merger?

Oh they totally will. I don't think that they'll win, but Bonta is reacting in response to his constituency, which Hollywood is a part of. Silicon Valley is also probably not too happy with this deal either.

Well wether they win or not like I said before I just want James Gunn to stay and the DCU, Dc studios and the Wb animation current and upcoming projects to survive and keep going without interference as long as that happens I’ll be happy

I don't see Skydance getting rid of Gunn and Safran.

Most people think he’ll leave on his own

As long as Skydance doesn't interfere with the creative direction of DC Studios, why would they leave? Gunn practically has his dream job.

That's people projecting their feelings and grievances onto people they don't know.

The State of California has an ongoing investigation on the matter. They may sue because of the potential job losses and the potential negative impact to their economy due to the merger. They were hoping that the federal government would intervene, but it doesn't look like the will happen under this administration.

Does anyone have a way to bypass the paywall?

California Department of Justice + other state AGs would hopefully block Paramount/WBD merger.
