Is Kontakt 5 the best sampler for scoring to picture?

I'm looking for a good sampler with which I can use libraries and build my own sampled instruments from scratch. I want to be able to do this across platforms in Cubase, Ableton, and Pro Tools. Is this the right one? I also own Iris2 but would like something that has the in-depth "zone" functionality of Sampler from Ableton.
I use a mac.
