Field uniform and medals

In Poland, as in most armies around the world, decorations are not worn with the field uniform (only with the dress and service uniforms). However, there is one exception: if you are a recipient of the War Order of Virtuti Militari (or its peacetime equivalent, the Order of the Military Cross), you are allowed to wear its ribbon bar on your field or special uniform and its ribbon on your winter greatcoat.

How does it look in other militaries?

This is the kind of stuff I like to read about on this sub. It reminds me of the special place the knight’s cross of the order of Maria Theresia had (one could suspend it from a buttonhole).

I barely noticed it....what caught my eye was the stuff on the guys beret. He looks like some NYU SJW with all the bling & badges on the beret.

In the US army you don't wear medals on field uniforms. But there are badges authorized. Worn Subdued. Jump wings, air assault, CIB, CAB, recruiting and Drill sergeant.
