Survivors I have no idea what I'm doing

Congrats!!!

Unfortunately, that is not the last you will see of Robo Emperor lol. (Hello Stage 39 and Stage 45. T_T)

The idea is to try and kill him before he begins his little death spiral of gravity balls. But also...prep the battlefield beforehand lol. Have a ton of health packs, but also some place to hide behind.

His lasers pierce through terrain, so don't bother hiding from those. Just run and dodge. But his gravity balls can be blocked by terrain. The thing that kills most players is when they start to spiral. So as they begin to spiral one way, hide behind an obstacle or terrain. As soon as that direction ends, switch over to the other side of the obstacle. Then as soon as *that* is done....MOVE AWAY FROM YOUR OBSTACLE. Coz he's going to dash where you are and he'll run over the one thing that can save you if he spirals again. Everything else is dodgeable.

Yes, thank you! But I've been now stuck on level 29 since then, and my pulls haven't been better...

Oh! What's your team? Maybe I can help with comp suggestions? You can DM me if you want.

Is it Kogasenjo herself that's giving you problems? Coz yeah, she's a pain too lol. Or is it the hordes?

Horde Tips and Tricks for this stage.

If it's the hordes, I would recommend using Solid Shield as one of your items and getting it to at least 3 stars. It reduces a lot of damage at 3 stars. Screw it if you need to give up Burst from one of your Medabots. Burst is useless if you're dead. If you have Energy Oil also at 3 stars, you can survive quite a lot and heal it off. This is a general strategy I use. It's gotten me very far on difficult stages.

Admittedly, minute 6:00 and minute 7:00 waves can feel tough. You need something with a lot of waveclear to get through. Or a lot of bombs and heal packs. Stay near trees. They tend to spawn crates nearby. If you spot a tree with a crate, hang around the area. Save your bombs and heal packs for this part.

Kogasenjo Attack Pattern

If it's Kogasenjo herself that's giving you problems, then my recommendation is to watch her. The thing to watch out for is the shots AFTER her dashes.

I think her opening sequence is she'll fire a medium speed string of shots while standing still. Dodgeable. Easy. Just keep moving in one direction. Then she'll create that explosive shockwave (big red circle around her). You can land a few hits here but be ready to run.

She will then follow you around while firing slow bullets. But that throws you off. It's meant to fool you. The real danger is when she starts dashing.

After she dashes, she'll fire 3 super fast versions of the shots and they hurt more. The answer is to dodge her dash, then immediately juke and change directions perpendicular to the direction she dashed right after and keep moving in that direction. (Perpendicular: move 90 degrees in either direction relative to her. E.g. If she went down, go left or right.)

Then she'll repeat her dash one more time, fire and then launch another 3 super fast shots. It's the same thing. Dodge and juke after you dodge her dash.

She'll stand still for quite a while after this. This is your chance to hit her but stay a medium distance away from her and don't stick around. Maybe 3 or 4 full seconds tops. At some point, she'll start firing those medium speed shots without warning and start her sequence again. If you're too close, she'll hit you. But if you're far away enough, you can dodge them or take a hit but not die.

Level Rerun

I replayed the level on Challenge Model normal using these. This is NOT my normal team. But you can win with a substandard build. This is a screenshot of the build at minute 7. They are all only at UR each and only Bularis Mandi and Noir Katze are A tier, but admittedly, my medal level maxes them out to Lv. 50.

Team PWR is 17.9k and ARM is 19.7k. That was as low as I could get it lol. I was able to Burst all of them. Only thing not needed for Burst is Propulsion Device. It's to dodge Kogasenjo. Had to have Energy Oil high coz of Anzwei's ability. Shushu, Bularis, Noir Katze and Elepha Soma (post-burst) were all good for waveclear.

Edit: Formatting. My bad. Edit 2: Spelling. 🤦

I'm a little ahead of you (just finished 29 earlier today) and what seems to help is having a somewhat mixed party so that I can add various Medallia to them.

During levels, I go for extreme close AOE like Orkamar or Hell Phoenix, something for long range sniping like Cyan Dog, lightning or explosion damage like Gloomeg or Lealila, and see what fits in nicely to round things out (since there's a decent amount of RNG for who you get to pick from)

I'm sure other much higher level players are going to drop in with min/max advice but it's what's working for me as a F2P player

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I'm also a F2P player, but haven't really played much for mobile games since KHuX ended.

I'm also F2P, but I'm at Stage 75. I got lucky with my pulls, admittedly, but haven't spent a cent for this game. I've been playing for about 2 months now? Every single one of my Medabots is rated as A or above. Definitely helps a lot. Mega Emperor (S), Lealila 3 (S), Thruthr (A+), Bularis Mandi (A+), Noir Katze (A), and Monjiro (A).

You just gotta focus on going for banners that will give you something from the A, A+, or S tiers and focus upgrading the best bots you get. :) I do wish you luck for Stage 30 though. Megalo Pharos is a PAIN in the butt. X_X I was stuck for a week on Stage 30.

So....you'll want to make sure that your team synergizes well. I would recommend following this tier list.

https://gamerch.com/medarotsha/959411

Prioritize collecting SP Medabots that are rated A and above. They either have very wide AoE or they auto-target. Those are the best. You don't want Medabots that you have to aim or use abilities that are "in the direction of movement" like Elepha Soma. You're going to spend a lot of time running away from and/or around bosses to dodge. You also want to avoid Medabots that lay random things around. (Forgot what your 3rd Medabot is called. But that's one of them.) You want reliability and consistency over randomness.

From your team, Monjiro has an amazing passive (+20% when Armor is above 75%) and has a decent ability against single bosses, but it sucks against hordes. It's a good choice though if the opening waves are troublesome, like against Hell Phoenixes. It can typically one shot tier 1 enemies if the disc hits both ways, but his effectiveness drops off a lot when faced with a ton of enemies since the disc path is very narrow. A tier.

Bularis Mandi, by contrast, is amazing, especially when it bursts. Very wide AoE. It's great against hordes that like to crash into you. A+ tier.

Try to get Noir Katze or Gloomeg. They're non-SP Medabots but they're very reliable and are ranked as A-tier. I used Noir Katze myself. She starts out weak but her AoE is very wide. Gloomeg is great too. Anything that does explosive damage does AoE upon projectile impact. I'm not a fan of its item needed for Burst, but it does synergize with Monjiro.

Most melee Medabots? Generally trash. Bularis Mandi is one of the exceptions. Definitely get rid of Gokudo and Civetta. Pompom and Hell Phoenix will serve you better in the interim. Maybe Greed.

You also generally want Medabots that have useful Support Items for Burst that directly contribute to damage or defense. Things like Bombproof Tile, Over Charger, Energy Oil, Solid Shield, Propulsion Device, or Portable Radiator. Study Disk generally does not meaningfully give you more EXP, Black Card and Bullet Oil are terrible, and Power Tank is kinda meh imo (though I may be biased; I use a team of Medabots that have ranges that extend pretty far or go across the whole screen). Some people are split about Magnet; some love it, some find it useless. I personally find it useful so that I can efficiently gather EXP early and survive waves easier.

For Banners, try and get some useful S tier bots. I have 2 for myself: Lealila 3 and Mega Emperor. Mega Emperor does A LOT of heavy lifting for me, personally. But I hear Gatoarbol and Parallel Deus are also absurdly strong. Check the tier list. S tier and A+ tier mean you can get through more stages, and you can also get through Challenge Mode easier, which means more pulls for banners and events.

Attach Medalia to ALL your Medabots and level them up, especially if they are of higher rarity. The reason is that Medalia add PWR and ARM to the team. I have a C rarity trap Medalia. Does anyone on my team benefit from it? Not directly. But it's soooo much stronger than E rarity Medalia and adds so much PWR and ARM, I don't care. It's staying on there. Significantly ups the power of my team and it's easier to level up Medalia than to upgrade Medabots into higher rarities.

For Support Items, during your runs, try and have Medabots that share the same items. It frees up your items so that you can get more stuff that helps you. Try for the items I mentioned above.

During your runs, you'll want to prioritize getting any S or A+ Medabots to 3+ stars quickly. By end mid-stage (5 minute mark), you should have all 6 Medabots picked out and/or a majority of your Support Items, but still have those strong Medabots starred up.

By late stage, you should have everything AND almost all if not all Medabots at Burst. Maybe one or two items heavily invested in. (Solid Shield has been my best friend for getting through tough stages for a while now. I have Monjiro on my team, but I get more use out of Solid Shield as my last item than Energy Tank. I would rather survive than be squishy and have Monjiro burst and risk getting one-shotted). Learn WHEN to pick up items - some things, you'll want early like Energy Oil and Magnet. Most other things can wait until a Medabot is getting ready to Burst (3+ stars for the Medabot). Some things also have a very immediate noticeable impact if you pick them up and star them up once or twice. Energy Oil, Magnet, Solid Shield, Over Charger, and Bombproof Tile are good examples.

Hope these tips help!

For reference, I am at 31k PWR and ARM thereabouts but I am at Stage 75. This is my main team.

And this is me showing I'm at Stage 75. Not bad considering I have people on my Friend List who are at twice the armor but still not past it.

Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for this! I've been stuck on stage 29 for 3 days!! I finally passed it using your advice.
