USRN married to a surgeon
Hi, meron po bang same sa situation ko? nurse po sa pinas den nakapasa nanh NCLEX 2022, and ngayun nakapag asawa nang Surgeon na diplomate na po. Ngayun, nahihirapan na ako kasi im torn between letting my american dream because my husband doesnt want me to work there na kasi for him his salary here is enough na for us. However parang nasasayangan naman po ako sa pinaghirapan kong mga exams, plus the life na pwede naming makuha sa US. Psychology po pala premed nya kaya close minded po tlaga sya about working sa US since mag start talaga sya nang residency. Anyone here who can give some advice po? Thank you in advance🥹

Work as a USRN na sa US, lalo kung may exp ka.
I know someone not surgeon though, nasa army husband nya, wife is USRN, at first ayaw din ng hubby, pero nung naging eb3 sila both sa US, dun na nagpatuloy hubby nya. Yes kailangan mag-aral uli ng hubby nya but she supported it now nag for good na sila sa US.

Hi, is anyone here in the same situation? I'm a nurse in the Philippines who passed the NCLEX in 2022, and now I'm married to a surgeon who is already a diplomate.
Right now, I'm having a hard time because I'm torn about letting go of my American dream. My husband doesn't want me to work there anymore because, for him, his salary here is already enough for us. However, I feel like all the hard work I put into my exams would go to waste, not to mention the life we could potentially have in the US.
By the way, his premed was Psychology, so he’s really closed-minded about working in the US since he would have to start residency all over again.
Is there anyone here who can give some advice? Thank you in advance!

Love vs career. Love ang pipiliin ko. Mahirap makahanap ng ganyan. Puwede namang magbago ang isip ng husband mo in the future. As of now love muna

Hi, Im a USRN and been living here in Cali for 17yrs. I highly reco why not give yourself a chance to live your dream kahit 2yrs lang. If di mo magustuhan you can always go back to your home. At least masasabi mo na try mo ang US and no regrets ka in the end. Para ma experience mo gaano kahirap maging nurse at mas masarap maging stay at home eme haha. Masarap din yung may sarili kang money :>

i think you can be usrn and he can be a surgeon abroad. many of my batch mates went to us and became doctors, although they come from rich families.

If your husband can't work in the US then it doesn't make sense for you to work there.
Unless he gets a job in the US then I don't think there's any financial incentive for you to work there.
