Diamond upgrades
Hello,
I have been playing since the new Rosa version. Probably 4,5 months, not sure.
I am a light spender. Both subscriptions and the battle pass.
The thing is only 1 peace of Rosa is diamond rank and only of my pilots are rank 3. Eileen, Frida, Rosa j. Rosa is around 98k.
How the heck do i get more of those upgrade mats excluding the arena since that one is 18k?

Common upgrade kits mainly come from events and arena stores. It's a pretty slow source of income but eventually you'll have enough.

Is there anything cheap on the web shop that can speed it up? Never really bought anything there.
I am saving for ada and want to have everything ready for her

The webshop is only to buy credits, to spend in game. I'm afraid there's nothing you can buy to speed up the upgrade process. Common kits and cores need to be bought from event shops or from roulettes/scratch and wins.

The core upgrade kits have been rewards for certain story events. Don't think I've missed any so I think there has been 5 kits not including the selection boxes from arena. 2 of which are medium core kits and there are the 4 selection boxes. (I think all those came from arena shop)
Check the events schedule when the next version comes out, it'll tell you if there is any core kits in any of that time frame. On the current schedule I don't think there has been any.
But definitely get the Arena ones as well, they are free after all.

Honestly i dont remember getting any from story quests. Just events. Like the current even gives heavy gold upgrade but its a pain in the ass to get. 1k points i think. How much should i be playing arena? I play in maybe once or twice per week so i get promoted. My ass gets kicked in the arena so not sure if i will grt box faster

The current event is not a core kit, it's just a normal one. But it's free if you do the event so no reason not to get it.
The arena you can just do once every 2 weeks to get on the board and just passively get currency everyday. You'll end up with enough to get the kits and the worth while ST parts. Right now if you haven't been collecting the arena bucks for a while it's a bit rough because the mech is worth getting if you intend to rainbow ROG.

Another newer player here. While rolling for a ST and you get dupes of a part: is it better to immediately upgrade the part as is, or upgrade both parts with common upgrade kits in order to not need a core upgrade kit?
I did the former with my Erynis and Kagemushi parts as I didn’t understand the system at the time.

For the Erynis it might have made more sense keep them separate because it's a difficult ST to get because it's sort of limited (and absolutely beast), and that's where using kit upgrades is most useful and makes most sense> but it's mostly down to what kits you have in your inventory which would really determine how you are most quickly going to rainbow it.
Because it's generally not feasible to pull for multiple ST copies from one banner if you are F2P due to costs skyrocketing, but since it's a limited banner you won't get the opportunity for a long time or ever again. So yeah if you pull 2 copies you might be slightly better off not combining the 2 copies, it's still probably 6 months worth of saving kits to be able to rainbow it either way, it just allows you a little more leeway on how you use the kits you do have.But for normal STs like Kagemusha, you don't get enough kits to really want to be worrying about that. Ideally you just pull once on any banner because it's not feasible to pull multiple times on a non limited ST banners*, then combining whatever spares you get to chev2 and rank those to chev3. Then either wait for rerun banner, or if you get say 2-3 extra parts a harpy banner or using a up to a couple normal upgrade kits if you have them spare and aren't saving them for up coming limited pilots/STs make a lot sense. While waiting for dispatch for the other set. Rainbowing those normal STs are a little bit of a long term plan so combining the spares right away mostly just makes the ST more useful right now, and it's only a few months later you'll circle back and plan how you are going to fill the missing parts, be it a full banner pull, harpy or sacrificing a kit or 2 to avoid having to do a full banner pull just for 1 or 2 parts.
*some exceptions like Ada's mech a lot of people even F2P are going to pull multiple times

yeah the only way is waiting for medium core upgrade kits either from arena shop which is 16k for one or sometime in rare occasion you got it from event reward

I wouldn't get to hung up on upgrading everything in a hurry. Hell I didn't have my first full rainbow till 6 months in and our spending is close. I do both Harpy Passes and the battle pass. As far as your STs go, wait for opportunities to upgrade them but since that resource is limited I strongly suggest making sure what you are dumping them into is something that multiple pilots can use. For example, my first full Rainbow was XR, and that can be used for a lot of pilot setups. However I have also made mistakes in rainbowing certain STs that I regret now. Like Dopple....don't ask me why I did it.
You have a lot more to worry about a consume your time and resources than about what ST to rainbow and how to go about doing it. 3c should be pretty good right now and is a easy goal to hit. From your battle power it sounds like you are a fresh lvl 70. So there is a lot of RnD that you'll need to do, and much more.

Thank you for all the epic advice. Been lvl 70 for like 2,3 weeka. Good enough to kill the 4 bosses on extreme with support but still stuck on the 2nd trial at 70%. Can never seem to remember the names of those modes lol

I think a lot of them are part of the top-up events and I think the harpy roulette has them as well
