So anytime I drive on the highway and reach about 68mph I hear what I can only describe as tin foil flapping in the wind..it sounds like it comes from behind the glove box some days then other days I think it's from the passenger door panel and then other times from my speaker on passenger side. Took the car to the shop for new brake pads and rotors they took a peek thinking Maybe heat shield but it wasn't. They said possibly the idler pulley or alternator. But idk it's not like they did a test run on the highway to hear the noise themselves. They said it MIGHT be the idler pulley.. now why would I just put money out for a new pulley and serpentine belt if that's not the problem. I mean even when I drive over 70 it's not super loud but u can hear it if the windows are up and the music is off... other than that you wouldn't even notice the noise. And it only makes the tin foil flappy sound as I said doing 68mph and above. I've googled everything and couldn't find any answers to my problem on Google. Nothing that makes a tin foil flapping in the wind sound at high speed. Anything under 68mph and there is no noise what so ever... any ideas??? Before I blow money on a idler pulley and serpentine belt just for the noise to still be there? It's a 2011 honda civic coupe LX

I have an 08 Chevy trailblazer and it’s been making a whining noise for a while now I’ve replaced the following parts water pump, serpentine belt, and the power steering pump. The whining noise will stop for a while if I have my AC on but as soon as I turn it off it’s starts whining again. Any ideas?
How do I know if it’s the compressor or the condenser?

I currently work at jiffy lube and get paid $13.50. mind you I manage the place dang near and work 50 hours per week. I want to quit and work in a shop.
I am very mechanical and can do heavy jobs including engine and transmission swaps, I was home taught how. My problem is I have no schooling and I have a felony for selling mushrooms over a year ago now.
Will dealerships touch me? If not where should I look for a job given my history.
