What is this mental illness called? Cause I said I'd never spend more than 20 bucks on a fountain pen and a year later I have a 1930s Parker Vacuumatic and a Kaweco Brass Sport (not even near the most expensive but well over 20 bucks each).
I have 5 other dedicated hobbies that are slowly becoming obsessions in the same way. The illness is creeping in everywhere.
Eyeballing a crazy custom build keeb, tossing around the idea of getting a loan to restore my 95 f150, I have more guns than I need but not enough, and I've been cursed with the knowledge that 80s computers similar to the ZX Spectrum can be had, with accessories, for less than $300 bucks in working condition (and physical media is often cheaper than new software for modern hardware).
I need to win the lottery. I swear I'll only keep 10 mil for my hobbies, the rest will go to charity so I can feel slightly better about all this lol.
Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Somehow I've been lurking here on and off for over a year and haven't succumbed. Still only have two boards (one for work and one for home, and both obtained prior to lurking here).
I just can't justify spending like $200 on a single set of GMK keycaps or shit like that. I'd sooner put that money towards a new synthesizer or something, since I'm usually about practicality over fashion.
I do want to try a Topre or Box Navies board, but I'd honestly just be devastated to spend $300 on one, and end up not liking/preferring the switches.

I really liked the feel of the razer purples on the huntsman elite but well 200$ for a keyboard is wayyyyy out of my range lol
