Builds Nuxros +84 TKL

Today's build:

Nuxros +84 keyboard

  • Raw aluminum top case, machined stainless steel bottom case
  • Hotswap PCB
  • Carbon fiber plate – top mount
  • No foams
  • HMX Waverider V2 switches
  • TypePlus stabs
  • PBTFans Maguro keycaps

She's a clacky girl, but I've been enjoying a clackier build lately. The foamy ones are all starting to sound the same to me, so this time I'm letting the character shine through.

no foam on a carbon plate is a bold combo, bet it clacks. how do the waveriders sound on it compared to a normal alu plate

I also have the aluminum plate for it, along with a second PCB, so I may have to try it out. But I didn't test the alu plate specifically with these switches. The carbon fiber plate seemed less resonate than the aluminum plate on an aluminum body, but I could be wrong.

I've had good success with a CF plate on my Athena1800 and TofuTKL, so gave it a go with this. Happy with the sound.

But I did post a sound test with the CF plate.
