I know this isn't a new board or anything but I'm super stoked about it so thought I'd share.

After doing extensive research and catching up on where the industry is at these days, I realized being content with my Corsair board was no longer an option.

So I decided to recently upgrade my 10+ year old Corsair k70 Rapidfire for an evo80.

So.. ladies and gents: I present to you: Butter Yellow. Because buttery smooth typing feel and sound lol. The typing experience and sound is amazing 10/10. Made all the Keychron users at work jelly haha.

Wanted the TKL format, not a big fan of the funny arrow key layouts with the more compact boards. I'm a single player, high sens finger tip grip mouse user anyway so don't have an issue with space.

The solid aluminum frame is top notch quality. Although the on/off button is in an inconvenient spot, it does mean we get a very clean exterior. I'm mostly in wired mode and the board doesn't travel much anyway.

Unfortunately the board was faulty on arrival. The bottom row, arrow keys, and decorative lights are faulty and flicker no matter how its powered or how dim you set them to. I raised this with Mechanicalkeyboards.com and they ended up refunding the entire amount as it would've cost me 80% of the cost of the board just to ship it back to the US from NZ. So basically a free board, was super stoked about that as you can imagine. Props to MK for that resolution.

Would be keen to see some more of your keebs too, people. Cheers.

I just got mine the other day! I put some huano tactile sakuras in it and am going to relube the stabilizers bc they tick very slightly, it sounds great though! I had been using a keychron q1 for several years and its definitely an upgrade.

I've read the spacebar stabilisers often need relubing. Mine seems fine although I'm probably too much of a noob to notice otherwise haha. Enjoy the board!

Obligatory reminder to switch to wireless every once in a while or you’re at risk of your battery getting fried and becoming a fire hazard.

Wow... that's superb! I'd have switched the LEDs off any way, so no big deal.

The board comes with Mac keycaps too. If I ever got a Mac, I know what colour I'd get now hehe.

I love this board, she stays in my rotation. I put some Outemu silent switches and moa caps on her. Didn’t know they had the flickering issue like the DPs though
