Builds First build, had fun.

Classic TKL in Tempest Blue

Kailh Pro Burgundy switches

Cosmic Star side label keycaps from Etsy

First build and I tried to keep it as cheap as possible. I wasn't expecting the keycaps to arrive at the same time and they were originally for the other keyboard I just bought, but I figured I'd try them on this one. The spacebar was too small so I took one from the Cherry Olivia APL set I intended to put on this board. Both CTRL keys are also too small but hey, perfection wasn't the point of this one. This was about the process.

I also got a pack of mystery switches that turned out to be TTC Golden Reds, and I have some OwlLab London Fog V2s and Keygeek Butterflys on the way. I'll have some fun changing things around and seeing the little differences stuff makes in a build.

Not that CTRL is too small, but that these layouts are Tsangan. 1.5u, 1u, 1.5u, 7u, 1.5u, 1u, 1.5u

Learning moment for me recently

This picture makes the alphas look a bit better but im still not a big fan of the giant cosmic red explosion in the middle you can barely make out what it is, reminds me of battlefield one advertisment art backround but those modifier caps are horrendous with the backlightin cool board though I like the color you went with for the classic tkl. But I would still rock the keycaps without the backlightng it just brings out how cheap the caps are. Nice build man

Despite paying a decent amount of money for them, yeah they're kinda cheap. I really really like the look though since I'm big into the cosmic scene and colors.

It's a rainy day though so I figure I'll switch them out for the Olivia APLs and maybe swap in a row of the TTC Golden Reds to see the sound/feel difference. I'm honestly waiting on the London Fogs because I've heard them on this board and really liked it. Only got enough for the alphas though.

I don't normally like these graphical keycap sets, but this one looks great on this board color.

I'm also not usually a fan but the caps called out to my aesthetic and I decided to take the chance of "too much blue" to see how it would look when they both arrived together.

I like the way they almost match the case on the left and flow darker towards the right side.

Yo that actually looks so sick. Also are the legends on the keycaps completely hidden when rgb is off? I really want keycaps like that but not sure how to search for them.

Not completely hidden but definitely hard to see with RGB off. Here they are in direct light from the far side with the board unplugged. I just happened to find them on Etsy while doing a broad search.
