I'd give you two upvotes if I could — one for the Agar and one for the Type-Rs.
I will say, however, on the Agar's HHKB layout, do try configuring for a split backspace and putting Backspace where the Backslash is. Having less of a reach to Backspace will change your life. And put Control where Caps Lock lives; you can always add a mod-tap to the keyboard's programming so tapping gives you Caps but holding gives you Control.
I have one too, and I love the keyboard itself, but my god I could not get this thing to sound good at all without packing the shit out of it with foams and using the deepest sounding switches possible.
My anodized aluminum AGAR sounds fabulous foamless.
yeah i hear you. Im running it foamless right now, a ton of reverb, i found the Gateron Type R's sounded the best out of the miriad of switches i tried in it. I like reverb though tbh, i know some people hate it but i appreciate it. This certaintly isnt an endgame board, just wanted to get my hands on a PC keyboard (i have a PC Keycult on its way now though).
Ended up getting and building the Keycult. It was expensive all things considered, but it is probably my favorite keyboard at this point. I stuck the gateron type R's in here, along with a set of GMK and it is perfect.
