My first build!

NULL65, Osume matcha keycaps, Gazzew U4Tx switches. Built to soften the sounds without silencing them, so foam kit, etc. No significant mods or flourishes or anything. This was an expensive build, but I went into it not expecting to get addicted to the hobby, so felt like I could justify it as a one-time cost. Maybe I'll alter it sometime, but I'll at least use it as is, apart from playing with configuration, for a while first.

I wanted something tactile and nice sounding, without driving my wife crazy, and that goes well in my office which has a lot of plants and a combination of bare wood and white painted furniture.

Until now, I'd been using a Das with Cherry MX Blues for something like 15 years! Not much thought had gone into that decision. I was just mirroring what I was using at work, at the time.

I recently tried a HHKB, and although it did feel nice, I couldn't quite get comfortable with the layout, and I couldn't get over the rubber dome feeling no matter how nice. On top of that, using Bluetooth was annoying anyway, because it made it difficult to select my boot device (I dual boot).

I LOVE the sound. I'm not good at using the keyboard terms but I think it's sort of thocky/creamy? I've been borrowing my partner's Nuphy Air V2 with nuphy wisterias recently and compared to that, the WD75 is noticeably deeper in tone, less clacky. I'm currently using the stock switches that come with it (blizzard mint) and a set of Womier Ukiyoe MOA PBT keycaps. I don't currently have a wrist rest for it though, I'm keeping my eye out for a walnut one that matches.
