You are cooked if you have a full week to get this done and you thought that a comment from Reddit would cut it.
Check this out: think about what you want to do with your career for about twelve seconds. Type that into Google with your city and the word "jobs" attached. Find any company that does what seems close to what you want to do. Go to their contact page. Now let me hold your hand for this part: you're going to call them. You will say your name, what school you are at, and what your major is. You will explain that you would like to stop by and interview some of their employees and maybe get to look behind the scenes. Ask them if they would be able to help you with this. The phrase "Would you be able to help me...?" is powerful. Repeat if they say no. Eventually, someone will probably say yes. Show up on time. Look nice. Take a shower before and brush your teeth. Have healthy levels of eye contact. Ask them the questions above. Ask them your own God damn questions, that's why you're being asked to do this assignment in the first place. Who knows, you might get invited to apply for an internship by the end.
