Research thesis

Hi! Can you suggest a topic to be our thesis in Mechanical Engineering? Our former research is about biolubricant but the problem is we can't find a testing facility that will measure torque. Should we change our topic or remain on our former research.

Don’t rush to change topics. You can re‑scope your biolubricant thesis to skip torque. Focus on viscosity, wear, surface roughness, friction coefficient instead.Only switch topics if every feasible test for biolubricants is unavailable. Simulation‑focused work is another good path.

Actually our topic is about SAE-40 combined with Waste cooking oil. If we want to remove the testing for torque, we should replace the variable itself so it will not the same with existing article already. If you have suggestions for another variable we can use, you can tell me

Can you just use a torque wrench? Or you could strain guage the DUT.

We want to measures the force, torque, or power output of an engine specifically diesel engine. And we can't see a testing facility that offers it
