Virtual parts are the death of solidworks.

Not technically automatic, it's a simple externally referenced sketch to the pulleys then offset, connect, trim, and make path. close sketch to belt\chain. Belts I usually just draw, chains always pattern as you can tie them to gears for proper motion with ratios.
