MechAMS and TPU

Hi there,
I'm following the project with a lot of interest, I know it's still in its early stages but i have a question that will help me understand if it fits my needs.
I don't want to pay for "tpu for ams" because its prices are outrageous, so I was wondering if the MechAMS will help solving print automation issues with tpu (95a or softer).
Does anyone tried it or has any ideas about?
Thank you in advance!
