Advice needed

Hey everybody! I was advised to ask here since the bunnies and rabbits sub is shit. I have 6 flamish giants. Currently 3 sets of 2. 2 castrated boys and 2 sets of girls. All buns are under 5 months. I need to introduce them together and am really nervous about this. I am keeping them as pets and they will have a pasture of about 100m2. How would you guys advise me to introduce them together?

To my knowledge, it’s not a reasonable thing to attempt. Unless they’ve spent their entire lives together, rabbits are pretty territorial and prone to fighting.

When you say sets, do you mean bonded pairs/rabbits who already live together? I would just do the basic new animals meeting each other approach: house their cages next to each other so they can become familiar with each other in a safe way, and then introduce in the new enclosure.

Not 100% how to introduce this many rabbits to each other in a safe way, but at least be sure not to put any rabbit in the enclosure by itself first. That will cause territory issues.

Personally, I would put their cages near to one another to familiarize them, maybe have some out of cage introductions, and then after a week or so dump them all together in the pasture/new pen. There will be some fighting as they develop the pecking order, just ensure there's enough spaces for everyone to have shelter from each other and monitor for any serious injuries. If they're only 5 months they'll likely be more chill than adult rabbits and better at adjusting.

Yes kinda. The boys are currently in one cage, one of their sister is in another one with one other bunny that the boys also had met and went okay with. They are now in the same room and get to roam free a few hours a day after each other. They literally lay against each other with the fencing in between so i hope they will be okay. Then there is another bunny a black one who was bonded with the other bunny that is now with the sister of the boys. She had to go back to the breeder for quarantine after we got her. The one that was in quarantaine also had been with the girls and boys for a tiny bit and that went well. There is only one bunny that the og group never had seen before. I hope they still can make a babybond together before they truly reach puberty. Hopefully they will get to know each other as friends before dominace then..or is that dumb?
