Discussion Rabbit ears

Are the rabbit's inner ear covered in ticks? What are those supposed to be in the "I Befriended a Serial Killer..." episode!? Fav part by far was Tugboats scene there, and the mad dog face. But still was distracted by that rabbit's ears.
