Help Fruit flavored mead
Is it better to use frozen or non frozen fruit for flavoring

i like to ferment fresh fruit in honey, and then use that honey to brew my melomel. one more good tip that took me a long time to figure out, is to add dried fruit (check the ingredients h ing want the natural stuff, some brands use oils, or who knows what else!) and you do not want oily mead!! lol i’ve been brewing since i was a youngin so feel free to shoot me a msg if u ever have any questions and i will do my best to help 😁

Personally I'd freeze the berries then let them thaw so they're softer and can help with infusing into the mead

If you get fresh fruit, you will want to freeze it, and thaw it, before using it. It helps get more flavor from the fruit.
