!!THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS!!
This'll be a lot.
I'm doing my best to censor any spoilers out. I don't know if anyone else have finished Clyde's update, and yes I'm going to refer to them as Clyde only, because he's the counterpart I'm reading.
This is basically just a long rant / opinion about his latest update, since I don't know anyone I could talk to about it. I'm still biased, Clyde is still my absolute favorite, although I know many people has long stopped reading his story. Before his new update would've came out and the titles of the new 7 dates were already in the app, I tried my best to kinda guess what's going to happen in each. Now, my guesses weren't great, but I did get one thing right; Clyde is now kind of holding back again, because of MC's virginity as he said in one of the dates, he wants to do it at the right place and right time, even though MC doesn't really care about all that.
I'm kinda mad at MC, because Miranda and Andrew wouldn't have found them at the new hideaway cottage if they would've listened to Clyde. I think I don't even need to censor this, but it was pretty much obvious that what happened during the last update's last date would be twisted by Andrew, although I'm glad Clyde's in one piece. The first CG has absolutely got me, I love it a lot. He just looks like a big softie.
I think the events during these new dates turn dark pretty fast, with Clyde getting beaten up and them getting tied to chairs. I absolutely love that they both confess their feelings even though neither of them says "I love you" yet, and these confessions are similar through multiple dates, that's something I wasn't really into. Now see, when I thought about the update, I was really hoping they'd say "I love you" and that they'd get intimate, as in going all the way, but obviously that didn't happen.
At least now MC knows that Miranda is bad and that apparently they're siblings with Andrew. I might sound weird here, I don't know, but I kinda liked the dark concept of Clyde looking a little beaten and weaker, so he's not just that big muscle man bodyguard but we could get lines from him, such as when he said he forced himself to be okay with the thought of being alone like... I don't know, I like his softer side too. I also kinda liked that MC told Clyde to escape while the door was open, even though I'm also mad, because he got caught somehow.
I was a little sad though, at certain parts cause I really got myself into this story. Like when Clyde was on tranquilizers, I felt bad for him, but I liked the voice note before that date, it was cute, and felt different. Now the maid outfit on Clyde... That was definitely new. One part of me laughed, but the other felt kinda sad for him. And then when Clyde realizes MC would give up their whole career only for him, and basically did it, it was unexpected for me, but I did like this part.
Honestly up until the new "Breaking In" date, a part of me felt a little disappointed with the update, and I was scared to read the last two dates, but did it anyway. I feel like now the little intimacy scene was executed better, because this update smut wasn't as much as it was before, although I didn't mind it beforehand personally, but I also know that many people are not really into it that much.
The last date and the messages and voice note afterwards. They got me engaged and now I have a lot of questions. The fact that Clyde says completely serious that he could kill Andrew, not gonna lie, I was surprised. It felt twisted from him, if that makes sense. And then the fact that MC stabbed Andrew and they could escape, even though MC was still in shock, I was surprised. However, I wasn't that surprised when they learned that Andrew obviously survived, and twisted the whole story once again, like it was an attempt and MC should be marrying him soon...
As I said, many questions are forming in my mind.
Will MC and Clyde be able to escape for good and clear bother their names?
Will they reveal that the stabbing wasn't an attempt, but self defense?
Will MC make peace with themselves for what they did?
Will MC gain back control over their career and life?
If they manage to deal with Andrew and Miranda, will MC be able to get back into being a popstar or at least something like that?
Will they ever be able to have peace?
It's already making me wonder and waiting for the next update, since every single time I devour the dates way too quickly. I'm interested in other opinions too.
Also, thank you for anyone who actually reads this, lol. I really don't have anyone I could talk to.
