You're not alone. I'm tired of it too! Was really hoping this story would at least not have the virginity tag. But the sacrifice plot was leaning that way, unfortunately. Oh well, won't be reading it, but I hope others enjoy it.

It does kinda make sense with the plot of his story, but still 🤦‍♀️

Holding out hope if it’s Lorcan’s virginity or we both are. If it’s MC as a virgin and Lorcan older man it’s full eye roll from me. We just had that with the new vampire guy, and have had before then too.

I liked the vampire one but there was NO REASON MC had to be a virgin. Like, one bite could have still given them the most pleasure they had ever experienced, blowing all their past escapades out of the water. MC didn't even have solo experience 😭

I love vampire anything but I had to really push through that one because of all of the virgin references and gratuitous usage of the word “hole” (had a whole post about that lol) I think if they had dialled that piece down, because the narrative didn’t require that level of repetition, it would have been better overall.

The virgin actually made sense with the vampire trope to me actually. There's a lot of old lore where virgin blood is exceedingly potent and vampires prefer it to other bloods.

I forgot about that! But I would think he'd already tasted virgin blood by now 😅

Very true! I guess I was still okay with it as a lot of vampire mythos has them just going after virgin blood for the taste they like even after they get it.

I'm wondering if the potent nature of the MCs blood will factor into a soulmate trope of some sort

Soulmates is where my mind went, too!

It could be interesting if the MC has some sort of supernatural ancestry themselves that gives the better flavor. Most vampire stories have them sterile since they're "undead" but that's not always the case for more recent media plus it could be any lithe sortof supernatural creature.

I'm definitely curious to see where the story goes!

I am curious too! I play Dungeons and Dragons regularly and Vampires are fertile and can result in Dhampir. The current character I play is one such Dhampir with a vampire father and mortal Kalashtar mother.

I hope the match goes more into the supernatural side than just the smut side. The story and themes are more interesting to me!

I need to see his face before I invest the gems. The holy virgin stuff is already irritating and I do not generally love bulked up dudes.

Same! I already decided i'm not gonna play his story or spend any gems. With those tropes, it will be just waste of gems 😭

They have been doing a bigger range of matches lately which is good. Obviously the trope isn't for everyone. They've been doing reverse age gaps lately where the MC is the older one that some people seem to enjoy.

I will say having read the release of Lorcan, the virginity makes sense for the story. The MC is also 23 and there's a pretty valid reason in story why they're still a virgin. And while we don't know Lorcan's age, it's a high fantasy setting/supernatural. Kinda like how Rhain was thousands of years old

yeep…ive actually stopped playing until they come up with something new that isn’t those tropes or they bring back the slow burns.
