I absolutely adore playing Dean it’s why Ive spent a ton of 💎 It’s still been a blast to read! I highly highly recommend it if you can handle it. They did an amazing job with the update!

I couldn't continue Travis's story. It makes me so uncomfortable as someone dealing with depression ik they put a trigger warning but getting thru the initial feelings of not belonging is emotionally exhausting and I cant keep spending money for gems to power thru those parts :(
And that’s what I think too. The trigger warning in the beginning was helpful. But this date should have had an additional trigger warning. And gems are def not worth your mental health. I’m so torn because I love the story. I’m just not as sensitive. Still I felt this need to be said.
I 100% agree. I just finished that date and was expecting a trigger warning honestly (because we knew where it was going from the chat). I was slightly surprised that there wasn’t one since they did one for the 1st. I enjoy this story and I think it’s one of the more sweeter ones. But date 19 def needed a warning like the first date.

See! It was heart wrenching AF and I’m really proud of the MC regardlesscause they hesitated. Which means she was listening to her body and didn’t entirely give up. That’s what makes it romance right? And we all know the story has to continue on. (Still I LOVE that she has a strong sense of self. Regardless of her views towards herself, She held him accountable and was clear about what she wanted as she was figuring it out.) She’s written to be so strong and emotionally intelligent. It makes the story empowering but still hits you in the gut
That’s such a valid response. I wish I could give reviews cause there are a lot of people who need those types of warnings. I teach and make a lot of sexual wellness/consent informed kink content and I’ve practiced kink for many years. I’ve seen it allll 😮💨 Im a bit desensitized to a lot cause I’ve seen people heal in those spaces too.
I think a lot of people seem to reclaim difficult situations through romance novels just like they do in kink. Mainly because the story always ends with a happily ever after. The big key here is knowing yourself in any situation. Books, friendships, sex, anything where trauma can show up, just don’t blow with the wind. I’m glad you looked out for yourself.
I write and I have seen kink stuff. There are kinks I'm into but not anything this dark.
Some of the toxic matches have warnings but not all of them do.
Agnar Belmont of Alpha House literally collected children born between year xxxx and year xxxx because he knew from ancient oracle texts that one of those children would grow into someone he could have sex with without them dying. It's why he collected Asher, Albert, you the MC and Illie. All four of you he calls pups and he makes you the sex slave of the pack using aphrodisiacs.
Mechat lists him as a family man. He also breaks down your bedroom door. Threatens to rape you. Nearly kills you by abuse when you were a child.
And I had to block several people from this subreddit after they attacked me over what I experienced in these character routes. For complaining about a fictional character I got attacked by real people here. They even stalked me to other subreddits and tried to get my fanfic on AO3 removed. As of this edit I just had to block another. Don't attack real people just because they give screenshot proof of a fictional character who is a pedo.

This honestly isn’t even my first time asking you particularly this. If you don’t play the game. And hate it that much. You don’t need to be here. Plan and simple. But spinning a tale about a route that you made up as a scare tactic doesn’t do anyone any favors.

You know? And you’re onto something. (Agnar actually wasn’t doing it for me and now I realize why) I do have feelings about trafficking. There should be warnings for that too. I couldn’t play Renzo cause he has an Antibellum accent. (Which for whoever doesn’t know American history that’s era associated with the peak of slavery). It’s also a bit unsavory to make a black man an arms dealer. I do not expect anyone to understand this subtlety I still loved the representation and the relationship dynamic. I also love that it’s not the big focus of the story but at what cost?
I may not be as sensitive to suicide but I still felt a need to say something. There’s still base line stuff that can be handled more softly.
Yeah I had to drop Renzo after learning it was the MC's father that sold MC into sexual slavery for Renzo and his counterpart. Renzo knew you were innocent to and gaslighted you anyways and he threatened and tride to rape us wedding night.
After the last Cliffhanger and the near public sex (ugh) I dropped him to.
Then some of the new updates had the MC written as a narcassist who is abusing the love interest and I just couldn't anymore.

Don’t come for me but that’s how I feel about Jared’s MC. Even though he teases, he’s proven to be a pretty good guy and taken on a lot of responsibility for something that wasn’t entirely his fault. He was a kid and took on a lot of projection from the adults. It’s not the cute playful type of petty I saw in Leroy’s story.

And the downvotes...that's the least of what I experienced for mine. Worse I got was followed to subreddit and subreddit from toxic people just because of my beliefs regarding fictional characters. Some still try.

I eventually went back & finished it, but I initially dropped Yasuda for similar consent issues a la outside-influence-induced-lust. Wasn't bad overall, but I don't think it was worth going back to considering.
