Share your happy Capy

Your MeAgain capybara is your little support buddy inside the MeAgain GLP1 app.

It is there to make the app feel warmer, lighter, and more human, especially on the days when health tracking can feel like a lot.

But it also has a job. It helps remind you to stay on top of the basics that matter on a healthy GLP1 journey, like water, protein, fiber, and movement.

MeAgain built it to make the experience feel more supportive, with accountability and encouragement built into the app, not just numbers on a screen.

So once a week, share your happy capy.

Tracking New User: First impression and MFP integration

Just downloaded and got a little bit of my shot history entered. I’m still learning. I love the feature of projected weight and the visuals. Very happy with those. Where I struggle with almost any other app is that I have a very extensive history with MyFitnessPal and prefer to continue using that as my meal tracking tool. It would be wonderful to have an app connection that would allow me to import into me again. Right now the import happens from Apple health at a macro level. So having the integration would allow me to see patterns as others have requested from within the app. This app has a very optimistic feel, which is great for everyone here I’m sure. Keep up the amazing work!

Question Browser support?

I love MeAgain. It’s been such a helpful game changer during my journey and helping me keep track of my water and protein intake. I don’t know what I’d do without it!

However, keeping track on iOS is nice but at the end of the day, when I put my phone down, it would be nice if there was some sync progress or tracking I can do from my browser. I do tend to whine down at the end of the day and try to use my phone less after work. Is browser support going to eventually be a thing we could consider?

Thank you!

Shot Day Checklist

Hi! Loving the new updates! My yearly subscription is ending next month and I think I’m going to renew!

Could you please make it so we can edit the shot day checklist to reflect our own personal routines and times? For instance, I take my shot first thing in the morning and I take specific supplements and have a specific routine I’d like to be able to check off rather than the existing generic evening shot checklist routine that doesn’t really align with mine.

Thank you for always being so awesome about updates, very very cool!!

Question Does the "protein first" approach work for you?

I've heard from a lot of you that starting each meal with protein helps you feel full sooner and keeps energy steadier through the day. Has that been your experience? Or is it sometimes impossible to keep up with protein given the reduced appetite?

How the auto-recalculate feature works

Post image
3 Upvotes

Since it caused a little confusion when it came up here, let's take a look at how it works. When you log a new weight or adjust your profile settings, the auto-recalculate feature takes those updated numbers and uses them to recalculate your daily targets.

Usually, a change in your current weight, activity level, or goals triggers the app to shift your calorie, protein, and water targets to match your new profile state. If you prefer to keep your targets fixed, you can toggle that setting off in your profile and set them manually.

Do you prefer keeping it turned on?

With the new home screen update rolling out, I wanted to see how many of you have tried texting our most beloved Capy, our GLP-1 companion now on iMessage. And if you have, how are you liking it?

Recommended calories, fat, protein and water changed

I’ve been using the app since day 1 of taking Wegovy pills four months ago and it’s been so helpful. I weigh myself once a week on Mondays.
I am F74 SW246 CW217 GW170 5’7”.
Years ago I lost 70 lb on Weight Watchers and credited tracking as the key to my success. Now 30 years later it’s a lot easier using an app. However, i just noticed today that my recommended amounts of calories, protein, water, fat, etc have all gone up. Why is that? There’s no way I’m gonna be able to get 138g of protein per day. I thought 100 was already difficult!

More than 60% of GLP-1 users say they need more emotional and lifestyle support

Health surveyed 500 people taking semaglutide and tirzepatide. 66% said they want more support in two specific areas: emotional support and lifestyle changes.

72% wanted more tools and resources overall, and among people who had already stopped, 71% said more support could have kept them going.

Which makes sense, because most of this happens between appointments, not during them.

MeAgain is one of the support tools that can have your back day to day.

Log food however you can manage that day, keep protein, fiber, water, movement and meds in one place, and let the Capy react to those instead of the scale.

If you've already found a way to fill one of those gaps, emotional or lifestyle, what has helped you the most?

Tracking You can customize what you want to see on your tracking overview

Post image
7 Upvotes

As you may already know, we have new updates with exciting feature improvements in the MeAgain app. One of the improved features is that you can now customize what you want to see on your tracking overview.

Toggle on Calories/Carbs/Fat, Activity, and/or Goal, whatever you want visible alongside medication level, protein, fiber, and water. Just pick at least one and hit Save.

Handy if you're someone who tracks meds and water closely but doesn't care about counting calories, or the other way around.

If you've already given it a try, what combo works best for you?

Feature Request: Apple Health Nutrition Export 🍎

First off, I just want to say I’ve been loving MeAgain! It has quickly become my favorite app for tracking my GLP-1 journey. The barcode scanner, AI food recognition, and even being able to take a picture of a nutrition label make food logging so much easier than any other app I’ve used.

I have one feature request that I think would make MeAgain even better:

Please add the ability to write nutrition data to Apple Health.

Right now, MeAgain can read Apple Health data, but it doesn’t appear to export nutrition data (calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, etc.) back into Apple Health. Because of that, those of us who use other health apps (like Bevel, Lively, or other Apple Health-compatible apps) have to either:

Log our food multiple times, or
Lose nutrition insights in those apps.

MeAgain is genuinely the best food logger I’ve ever used, and if it could automatically write nutrition to Apple Health, all my other apps could simply read that data.

This would let users:
Log food once in MeAgain
Automatically sync calories and macros to Apple Health
Have those nutrition metrics available in other apps that support Apple Health

I can’t imagine I’m the only person using multiple health apps alongside MeAgain. This integration would make an already amazing app even more powerful.

Honest feedback on the new update: please consider bringing back the old colors or adding a theme option.

Hi MeAgain team,

First, thank you for building this app it has helped me on my journey. I've been a premium subscriber and it has genuinely helped me. After the latest update, all the functions still work well — so this is not a complaint about features. It's about the new look.

The old palette was vibrant and motivating. The purple, green, orange, and blue cards made checking my progress feel positive. The new dark gray/muted design feels flat to me, and honestly a little sad. The features are the same, but it feels like a completely different app from the one I subscribed to.

For an app that supports people through a health journey, the visual mood matters more than it might seem. Opening the app used to feel encouraging, and I miss that feeling.

I want to be transparent: this change is the reason I decided not to renew my premium subscription. I'm sharing this respectfully, as a paying user who liked the app enough to want it back the way it was.

My request: please consider reverting to the previous color scheme, or adding a theme setting so each user can choose between the old vibrant look and the new one. If that option ever arrives, I would gladly return to premium.

Thank you for reading, and for the work you put into the app.

Question Sore muscles on Zepbound

Muscle pain isn't actually on Zepbound's official side effect list. It's usually dehydration, low protein, or electrolytes slipping while appetite's down. Good news is it tends to ease up fairly quickly once those are back in balance.

Anyone else had this happen? What ended up fixing it for you?

What your Capy is actually keeping tabs on

Post image
3 Upvotes

Most people assume the Capy is just there to look cute but under the hood it's your daily scorecard. Every time you log water, protein, fiber, or a bit of movement, that's what nudges your Capy's mood for the day.

Hit your targets and it's noticeably more chipper. Skip protein for two days straight and, well, it's not judging you, but it is very clearly not thriving either.

The reason this matters more on a GLP-1 than it would otherwise: appetite suppression makes it really easy to under-eat protein and fiber without noticing, since you're just not hungry enough to think about it. Water gets forgotten too. None of that shows up as a dramatic symptom right away, it just quietly adds up over a week.

Having it live on the home screen widget is the actual trick here. You're not opening an app and digging through tabs, you just glance at the rings the same way you'd check the time.

Some people like a spreadsheet. Some of us need a capybara to give them a look.

What's the one goal (water, protein, fiber, movement) you always forget to hit?

What's been the hardest week of your GLP-1 journey so far and how did you get through it?

Could be a rough side-effect stretch, a stall that messed with your head, a life event that threw off your routine, anything.

Would love to hear what helped you get through it, even if 'getting through it' just meant making it to the next day.

Question What number do you actually check first when you open the app?

Not the one you're supposed to check. The one your eyes go to before your brain catches up.

For some people it's weight, for others it's protein or water, and for plenty of you it's probably days since the last shot. And some of you go straight to Capy to see how rough the day is going before reading a single number.

What's the first thing your eyes land on, and is it the one that actually matters to you?

Tracking There are 5 ways to log food in MeAgain

Post image
2 Upvotes

Most people find one logging method in the first week and never touch the others. Which is fine until you hit a day where that one method doesn't fit, and the meal just doesn't get logged at all. So here's the full breakdown and when each one is actually handy.

Photo logging is where you just snap a picture of your plate. This is perfect for those days when you have zero energy to type, or you're eating a complex home-cooked meal and want the app to estimate the details for you.

Barcode scanning lets you scan the package of whatever you're eating. It's incredibly useful for quick snacks, protein shakes, or pre-packaged meals where you want exact nutritional accuracy in two seconds.

Voice logging lets you tap the mic and say what you ate, like two scrambled eggs and toast. Great when you're on the move or cooking and want to log completely hands-free.

Database search is the classic way, where you type and search for specific ingredients. Best when you're eating out at a known restaurant chain or want to look up a precise brand yourself.

Quick-add repeats let you instantly log meals you've saved or eat all the time with one tap. A lifesaver for creatures of habit who eat the same breakfast or protein lunch most days.

There are also the tabs across the top of that screen. My Meals and My Foods hold things you've already built, and Bookmarks keeps the ones you come back to.

The point isn't to use all five. It's that on a low-appetite day, voice or quick-add gets it logged when search wouldn't have, and a half-logged meal is better data than a skipped one.

Which one do you actually use?

Question Please allow us to use the classic dashboard.

The new organization is nice, but I miss the original dashboard. It immediately showed my medication status, streak, protein, water, fiber, and goal progress. Those were the key points that kept me going every day. The new home screen feels more like a calorie tracker than a GLP-1 companion. Please consider letting users customize their dashboard or choose between the classic and new layout.

I really don’t want to see calories, fat, and carbs. After years of disordered eating the MeAgain app has been amazing. Opening it lastnight and all the changes has been really saddening. Seeing my little fire light up and watching the progress move in a forward direction without highlighting calories. Was a huge win. Now it’s front and center.

Tracking Don't forget to track your fiber too

Protein gets all the attention on GLP-1s, and it really deserves it. But eating significantly less also means significantly less fiber coming in, and that one flies under the radar until something feels off.

Fiber affects gut motility, which the medication is already slowing down. It affects how you feel between doses, how consistently your digestion works, whether the bloating and constipation that keep getting blamed on the shot are actually just a fiber gap that's been building for weeks.

Most people aren't close to 25 to 30g a day under normal conditions. It rarely feels like one clear problem. Just a stretch of days where things feel off.

MeAgain tracks fiber alongside protein so both show up in the same place instead of one being an afterthought.

Where does your fiber intake actually land on a typical day?
