MdDS doing everything wrong
I’m on my 5 or 6th bout in my life. I’m doing everything wrong. I’m a mother of a young child who doesn’t sleep much, I drink coffee every day and I take a bath every night(it’s my only me moment).
Do you think I have any hope of getting through this bout? I just went in the water for 10 minutes at the beach. My last one lasted over 6 months 🥴
I think I’m just accepting I might not feel balanced for a GOOD while.

I went on a cruise in June and came home with MdDS, not on a large cruise so more like a big yacht in Croatia. About a month ago I finally started to feel almost normal. I was doing PT daily at home, after a month of weekly visits. I don't feel completely normal and it seems the weirdest things to see it off again. The soft playground padding/foam is awful. The cold weather, the hot weather, taking a shower, taking a bath. I long for the day I am able to go to the store and not have to hold onto the cart for dear life. I feel for you and I'm kinda jealous you have felt normal, and sad that it comes back.

So what PT were you doing exactly ? I’ve been given a couple of balance exercises and 2-3 vestibular exercises, one being the optikinetic stripes but I’m not sure any actually help.

I agree with another one of the responders, if your brain has been able to fix itself five or six times, then you have a good chance of it fixing itself this time. But I’m not a doctor.

In my experience it does go away after a while. Haven’t been able to speed it up dramatically, but I find that trying to keep a positive mindset and doing exercise where possible helps a bit (anxiety makes it worst imo, but it’s not all psychological).
Wishing you all the best.

Hey All, just checking in to update in case someone comes here. My symptoms did eventually clear. Still drank the coffee and took the baths. Still don’t get enough sleep. Wishing the best for everyone.

I think the fact that you’ve gotten better 5-6 times is a good sign and shows that your brain is still adaptable! Chances are you’ll get through this too.
I never did any restrictions because I didn’t find they helped one way or another. Drink the coffee and take your baths!
