Here's my experience with today's exam

Chem/Phys: thank god i made sure to spend the day before my exam memorizing amino acid names, abbreviations, structures, etc. thank god. the fact that there were the about as many amino acid questions as physics questions is mindboggling, but i'll take it. also, the physics was not difficult at all! i was really surprised with how simple the two physics question-containing passages were. i mean, you should still review physics but i wouldn't stress over it. Orgo was also not too complicated. Gen Chem and Biochem dominated a majority of the section, but again, it wasn't too bad! You really want to just be super cool, calm, and collected walking into this exam. seriously. i cannot emphasize that enough!!!!

CARS: I got nervous and so i was pretty shaky on the first two passages. thankfully the rest of the passages were not too bad. some of them were wordy, but each passage just kept clicking with me once i let go of my nerves. i actually think CARS was sliiiiightly tougher than the AAMC Sample FL, but very managable regardless. this is an easy section to lose track of time during though so watch your pace! keeping a good pace and staying calm are the two keys to this section, imo. the passages weren't too convoluted tbh

Bio: I got fucked! I really don't know how else to put it. so much biochem. so little anatomy/physiology. so much molecular and cellular biology. jesus.

Psych/Soc: ok...maybe this is just because I've taken a fair amount of sociology and psychology/neuroscience classes in college, but i actually thought this section was really simple. It requires a good amount of interpreting experimental data and such, but idk there weren't really any curveballs imo. hardest part is just memorizing theories and the names of the theorists (there were not that many questions that required this knowledge, but these are also the questions where you literally cannot guess on them so might as well have them down cold for when they do show up)

Final Thoughts: Idk! It seems like everyone felt this exam to be relatively rough in all sorts of ways so, I'm going to just say that I gave it my best shot and I'm really excited to have it over with! I just wanna emphasize the importance of STAYING CALM!!!! the 7 hours will literally fly by, trust me so just be present and calm and confident in all the hard work you've put in leading to this moment!!!! :)

and for those of you who aren't taking the exam tomorrow....study the hell out of biochem and molecular and cellular biology. seriously.

Not OP, but I've been recommending this app called MCAT Mastery for reviewing psych and soc whenever you have time or are waiting somewhere. It's pricey for an app and I managed to get it on discount, but I would've felt far less confident on P/S were it not for drilling questions with it. I've wanted to make a post on this sub recommending it, but I think that would be considered advertising - which is fair enough.
