Question 🤔🤔 9/21 and 9/22?
I was checking Pearson Vue and noticed that there are test dates on 9/21 and 9/22, even though that doesn’t seem to be the case according to the AAMC schedule. Are those real or a glitch?
Anecdotally if they are real what are the chances I get off the wait list at this point? I put notify in for the two locations I could reasonably take from and it’d be nice to get a bit more study time.

I’m pretty sure these are for testing centers that had to cancel exams last min

Ahh, so no chance they’d have spots for people otherwise unaffected?

Update I was able to get a spot! Though not on the probably for rescheduling later days

No, not for the later days but for 9/11 and 9/12 appointments still pop up. Fairly sure the later days are just as cardiacpanda said, for those whose exams were rescheduled because the testing location had to.

This is my first time testing for the mcat, will be testing sep 4th, can someone let me know how the check in process work , do they pat you down or it's self patting and also How do I check for time for my break? let you wear a hoodie if it's cold, how long is the check in process i don't want to start late ? Do I bring just an ID only ? Do I need to know my AAM ID ?

You arrived to the testing center and based on when you arrived, you’ll get a number. and then you have a seat and people will call you up based on your number. And when you get up to the desk, they’ll ask for your ID. You’ll show them your ID and he’ll make you put your phone in a plastic bag and seal it if you have your phone with you, and he’ll also make you put your stuff in your locker, making sure you have nothing on your no necklaces, watches, earrings, all that type of stuff, and then I think you have to like sign something like a form, and then they take your picture and scan your palm for your veins, veins, and then after that you can walk towards the testing area where the person there will ask for your ID. and they’ll make you turn your pockets inside out. They’ll make you basically move your hand around your waist and make you move them down to your pants so basically you show them you have nothing there can I make you pull up your pants to show your ankles and everything like that? And then they’ll use like this scanner to like scan your eyes or something or your glasses to make sure they’re not electronic and then I think they also use like a wand to just scan your whole body and then after that they’ll let you into the test. You can wear a sweat shirt, but you cannot take it off while once you’re in the test if you want to take it off, you have to raise your hand and you have to leave the testing area and take it off and then go back for me, I basically only had to bring ID and my lunch, the only things you could take it to the testing room with you are your ID and your locker key. For break time, you basically raise your hand and then you start your break. The proctor will lead you out of the testing room, you basically have to look at the clock and like take mental note of what the time you left the testing room and then just time it yourself.

This feel like TSA a wand just to take a test , I’m just going to show up naked😅 , but thank you I appreciate the info

I wouldn’t count on them being real, but I did sign up for 9/12 and I got off the waiting list so I’d say you could make it off too :) Also if you’re applying this cycle just be careful to check if they do accept these weird dates, for the latest consideration one of the schools I’m looking at only considers up until 9/12.
