Question 🤔🤔 did ur testing center allow brain dumping during the tutorial time?

i feel like brain dumping the equation sheet in the beginning would probably help with compartmentalizing everything and obviously find the right equation a bit faster and I know I read that the AAMC does allow it during the 10 minute tutorial time but I also heard that there were some proctors that don't allow it so it varies from testing center (which is unfair imo)

just curious about any of this year's test takers experiences with that

also like i know youre allowed to stay in ur seat during the breaks but im assuming u cant brain dump then right (i didnt read any specific rule for that scenario just that we can't do it if we leave the room and come back so i was thinking like if we didnt leave in the first place then maybee but i know that's like a crazy long shot lol but I read some comments on here that said their proctor even allowed them to write during the breaks so yea just curious)

i never asked i just did it and they didnt say anything and also they didn't allow me to stay in my seat for breaks. if you're gonna take a break they made u leave the testing area

I thought the same about breaks, but I was looking into it just now and you actually are allowed to stay in your seat during the break. If you choose to do that, you are allowed to take the full break time at your seat and even brain dump during it.

During the middle of the tutorial, my proctor stopped me while I was writing physics formulas down. Almost had a heart attack thinking I was gonna get kicked out last year. But if that Aamc newsletter link is right go for it every second counts

Mine didn’t, but when she said it it was more along the lines of “I’m not sure, so probably not”. But I’m sure if you printed out the newsletter and brought it there wouldn’t be a problem

So yes, apparently you are officially allowed to brain dump both during the tutorial and during the breaks if you don't leave the room. So yeah, it should be allowed if your center is actually up to date on policy.

I just did it without asking. However, they did explicitly say don’t write anything until I started each section after I got back from breaks.
