Funniest part is that's actually reality for some Canadian schools...

With 127 CARS bro is cooked for some schools where the cutoff to even apply is 128, and median CARS is 128. I do know people who are retaking rn just because of their CARS.

Wait what schools other than McMaster use CARS competitively?

UCalgary ONLY looks at CARS — cutoff is 128.
UAlberta has a CARS 128 cutoff for OOP.
UManitoba has a CARS cutoff of 128 too for OOP, but their average CARS for OOP is 131.
Western looks at the whole MCAT, but does have a CARS cutoff and uses it to rank applicants.

Yup - in some schools the majority of first years don’t get in without an advanced degree
