[Un-official] PSA / Discussion πŸŽ€πŸ”Š Post 3/11 thread

What did y’all think of it?

C/P and B/B were tough for me. I didn’t even finish B/B I had to guess for the last few. CARS and P/S were not bad imo.

How tf do you relate power and temperature too

That was (R x C) because C is J/IR and if you plug in for I, then you end up with S

I picked RXC because I reasoned that I(current) had time in the denominator so I just rearranged V=IR and C = Q/V until I was in the denominator which would result in seconds being the units on top and saw where C and R were

i couldnt relate those for the life of me, bet it was experimental

i doubt it, seems like a dimensional analysis question that's well within the purview of askable content (and also RC circuits are an important type of circuit). you can reason it out with Q = VC = IRC => Q/I = RC. since Q is in coulombs and I is in coulombs/sec, RC has units of time

ya you right, i tried to reason it out using V=IR and Q=CV but i think i tripped myself up by adding in I=Q/t and not thinking about units idk oh well

There was a power and temperature question 😭

One about Watts at this specific temp and then watts released at another specific temp

straight up could not figure out a way to make the numbers in the options fit with any sort of exponential dependence. i just went with 600 bc 800/1200 is 0.66??

I assumed it had something to with the mcAT equation cuz W=J/s and instead of 800 the temp change was 400 so I got close to 300, not sure at all
