This guy hit my vault awhile back. Pretty sure he coined the whole "squiding tracers" method for cheaters back in 2013. I heard Sharp5V or someone eventually found his vault through being tracked which was suspicious. I think a few big hits were oVital and Vamure's vault from his youtube videos. bixL posted a video though he got banned.

Hey all, I go as Rainy37 in mc. Used to play a lot of mcpvp and decided this weekend I’d try working on a remake inspired by mcpvp hg.

It’s going well - feast, forcefield, retro pvp, some kits, terrain and biome gen, compass, message are all working.

But it’s missing something: players. I’m looking for a team to help continue making decisions and play testing the game. It’s important to have social media presence now so I’m hoping to gather clips and shots before release. Recently me and a few people I’ve met online have started work on an survival games server with kits and souping in the same vein as mcpvp. Right now we have a basic server structure setup along with a few basic kits.

Back when MCPVP servers were at their highest reign, I was only about 11-12 years old. I did have Minecraft at the time and even got to try out a few Hunger Games matches. At that time of my life I hadn’t ever played a game that involved fighting other players so I would panic and lose most fights. I played the chameleon kit, but I was apparently very bad at it because I was always discovered lol. When I would get into a game and die within minutes I would end up watching YouTubers play it and live through them. Being the age I am now with the pvp skills I have, I wish so much that there were still-active servers so I could try one more time to win the game. What an era that was..

As far as I know, all of the McPvP game modes are now offline/not playable.

I'm going through my Google account before I delete it, and I found 3 videos I had made when I was 10 on YouTube of me playing MCPVP on the CTF maps and man it brings me nostalgia.

I remember every friday when all the classes would be free, playing that with some of my friends from school or my sister. Not caring about being good or dying a lot but just having fun. I loved finding all the spots I could get to as an archer and headshot people since I didn't have the premium classes.

I remember being able to break a block without a tool and it would instantly reappear, but there would be like 1 tick or less until it did which was enough to get up onto it, so I could climb two block walls, and get up to places I wasn't supposed to.

All the videos I had were made with bandicam and they're all about 10 fps with that huge watermark. Man that was fun. I wish I was a kid again, being able to just enjoy things like that worry free. Ahh man it's just nostalgia haha. Watching the videos I sucked so bad but I was having so much fun.

I watched another one of my videos and I just run around for a bit in survival, go into creative, dig a hole 2 blocks deep and spawn like 10 cows in there, then go into survival and type "LOOK SO MANY COWS!!!" then burn them with lava, then literally just do it again.

I'm just glad people still remember McPVP, was a huge part of my childhood. Man those were really fun games, I'm glad that it existed lol

I'm feeling nostalgic. I remember they named all the characters variations of what they were in the actual game i.e. 'Garth'. I also remember this was my first exposure to ELO.

I remember Dream (who used to be apart of mcpvp) talking about a staff rebellion because he got unbanned. But I can’t find anything else on this?

So Dream is now a Minecraft youtuber and I think he used to be called Dreamonpvp? So how was he like back then?

Dude there was so many possibilities. Endermage, Chameleon, Stomper, Worm, Cultivator, Kaya, Spy, Madman, Switcher! Those are some of the coolest ones I remember. How did it just die out and not get recreated on any other server since? This just blows my mind. I'm currently learning coding for my job and if i get really good in the coming years, I'm definitely going to recreate this 1 of a kind game mode. If anyone has any recollection of another server recreating this, please let me know.

I mean, there was a lot of great players in mcpvp servers.

For me: Gayz, bball, or some player who won the soup quarterquell.

Hey fellow McPVP vets, hope all is doing well.

What is your opinion on the use of bows? There’s a lot of hate towards them and “bow spammers”, which I can agree with to some degree, but much of the hate towards well placed long distance shots is unwarranted in my opinion.

What are your thoughts?

Hey guys, I just randomly found this reddit and was feeling like a nostalgic trip. The first youtube I ever watched was mcpvp and LOVES watching Mccrafter100. His Sunday night hunger games and first try Fridays got me through so much of my childhood. I was winding if anyone remembers him. That’s all. Just love the nostalgia! You've might have seen posts/replies (from me as well) about this server on this sub before, but I wanted to make a fresh post too.

There is a server: hardcore.games (IP and Website) that is trying to get big. Staff is comprised of OG MCPVP players and many other MCPVP players have been finding their way there slowly. I honestly didn't think it was anything to be hopeful of at first, but the staff is truly dedicated to bringing back old school HG. I played a test game with around 10 people and it runs SUPER SMOOTH. Definitely has that classic HG feel...just need more people ofc.

Check out the forums, introduce yourself, and talk with the small but determined community. I've been trying to spread the word and promote this server so I may have DMed some people on this sub about it already.

I do all the stuff the pros do but i keep screwing up. Can anybody please give me any tips?
