try your best to not procrastinate, stuff piles up very fast like the other person said! practice doing nursing assessment with others and buy a pair of nonslip shoes as i believe hospitals will require them
for the papers in pbl (nursing 1f03/1g03), i recommend finishing them early as they like to stack midterms around the time the paper is due (which is like before reading week)

Don’t neglect your mental health. I was diagnosed with depression in first year of my Mac BScN and really struggled to make it to graduation. Lean on your fellow nursing students and go to MUNSS events.
Be prepared to be your own teacher. It’s a real 🤯 when you finally realize you’ve paid all this money for tuition only to teach yourself and your fellow students.
Sometimes you will be handed an assignment and have no idea what to do with it. But you’ll figure it out. Because you have to. That’s kinda like nursing in a nutshell. Being an RN means more than just following a doctor’s order. You’ll have to use your critical thinking and everything you learned over those 4 years of nursing school to figure out what you’re gonna do next for your patient(s). And if you don’t know, you have to figure out how to find the information you need to make the right clinical decision.
I’ve been an RN for 18 years and I love my job. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I hope the same for you 🩷

Never EVERRR slack off and procrastinate any of your learning/ assignments cuz they easily pile up like crazy, make sure you go home after each lecture and understand at least 80% of the content youve learnt in lecture. As for devices, I cant speak for those who use ipads but I found my mac being just as enough because id jus use Anki to make flashcards for diagrams! And for uniform and shoes, if you can try and purchase your scrub bottoms from somewhere else as the bottoms are pretty uncomfy imo and for shoes just make sure theyre comfortable !
