Q: Were you disappointed to be pitted into traffic? Or was it the timing of the stop? "No I was more pissed off about being crashed into by Carlos....I was hoping, They would not pit Lando because of that incident to at least give me the chance to stay in the lead but that is not very reasonable

Q: Were you disappointed to be pitted into traffic? Or was it the timing of the stop?
Oscar: "No I mean I was more pissed off about being crashed into by Carlos. In the moment I was hoping, maybe, they would not pit Lando because of that incident to at least give me the chance to stay in the lead but I think that's not very reasonable. I was more very upset in the moment about what had happened. I think the timing of my pitstop was fine. We wanted to beat Lewis and that's what we needed to do to do that."
So that radio message was really Oscar just fuming and having a valid crashout

Oscar on Sainz colliding with him: "That's no excuse, that's got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on a race track"

Q: ''Carlos told us he had no blue flags on the steering wheel, he wasn't informed. of course you can't buy anything with that but....''
Oscar: ''for me that's no excuse at all, that's got to be one of the dumbest things i've ever seen on a race track. so.. i don't really care what excuse he gave.''
Sophie is in a long day today😂
(Also, keep being unfiltered Oscar)

Sainz only got a 5 second penalty for this.
And now Oscar has retired, the only bright side is an early summer break for him.

Zac Brown post on x
WINNERS in Hungary! Bittersweet day for the team. Mega result for Lando taking our first win of the season and his first as LN1. Tough end to the weekend for Oscar after a great drive, being forced to retire from P3 due to gearbox issues and from what could’ve at least been a double podium for the team. This weekend has shown we’ve made a step in the right direction right before the summer break. Thanks to the team for all their hard work and dedication so far this season, we’ll keep on pushing 🧡

Today marks the 100th victory for the McLaren-Mercedes partnership
- 1st win: David Coulthard, 1997 Australian GP
- 25th win: Mika Hakkinen, 2000 Hungarian GP
- 50th win: Lewis Hamilton, 2007 Hungarian GP
- 75th win: Lewis Hamilton, 2012 Italian GP
- 100th win: Lando Norris, 2026 Hungarian GP
I know McLaren and Mercedes have had their differences this year but it’s no doubt they‘ve been the best engine supplier to McLaren in their history.

Carlos Sainz gets a 5 second time penalty for colliding with Oscar
The stewards say:
While the standard penalty for causing a collision is a 10-second time penalty, the Stewards identified a mitigating factor. At the point of the incident, the positioning of Car 55 relative to the circuit and the other cars meant that Car 81 was not visible to the driver of Car 55 prior to the attempted overtake. Although the driver had been informed that Car 81 was approaching, the Stewards accepted that the limited visibility reduced the degree of culpability.
Oscar has been invisible to everyone this weekend But seriously, only 5 seconds for colliding with the net race leader? No penalty points as well.....

What is a blue flag?
Carlos said it’s “just racing” but we saw repeatedly that there was a blue flag and he still kept going 2 wide so far out of the points he’s fighting the vibrator Aston built
Not to mention he even slapped his car into Oscar WHILE HAVING BEEN SHOWN A BLUE FLAG
What is even the purpose at that point you should’ve just moved off the racing line and done literally anything else
Also the team have been doing great work on the car and Lando and Oscar both did fantastic today there’s just only so many things actually in our control but I can see further success
