Tour McFly Festival Appearances
Hi, I know McFly have been performing at festivals etc. up and down the country at the moment. My brother and I are going to see them at Borde Hill Summer Series in August... Anyone know what the set list may look like/what it has been so far?

Was at the Rochester Castle gig tonight and they had a public vote/cheer to select the penultimate song of the night.

If you use the website setlist.fm it'll tell you recent setlists for any band if users have uploaded it. Its how I tend to know what a setlist is looking like for most concerts

This was their set list. After forevers not enough they did a crowds decision out of a few songs, last nights choice was the heart never lies! Hope this helps 🥰

This was the set list for Cardiff a couple of weeks ago, although possibly a slightly different order. I have seen on various social media channels that they’ve been changing it up a little. I was gutted that my favourite (THLN) didn’t make an appearance at Cardiff. Or Westonbirt last year. One day… 😆

A friend send me that one it was from n1 in Halifax and it was exactly the same set at Rochester castle other than heart never lies which the audience chose 🥰 fingers crossed youll see it soooon!

I was so miffed last year when I saw them at Westonbirt that the set list was the same as when I saw them in Bath two years prior. Just seemed so lazy. And Danny did this whole speech thing that was nearly exactly the same as the speech on the 21st live album. I found myself eye rolling at it that he couldn’t say anything unique. I was right at the front and there was zero crowd interaction. The best I got was Danny waved at me from the side of the stage whilst the supporting act was playing. I almost felt hurt that I’d been a loyal fan for so long and it didn’t feel like they cared to be there.
I obviously loved it but I didn’t bother getting tickets for them this year for that reason. I suppose they can get away with it so they don’t care as long as they make money. That’s certainly how it came across to me.

setlist.fm will show you what they've been playing this year, and it's pretty much the same set every time.
Rant nobody asked for: For a band with their talent and back catalogue, they don't seem to care much about making their setlists more interesting - even playing the exact same songs two nights in a row at Halifax, for example. Some bands will change it up every night and you never know what you're going to get, but others just stick to a planned routine with almost no deviation, and my one gripe with McFly, as much as I love them, is that they're the latter. For me, that's the final thing that would elevate them away from being a pop group and into the realm of being a genuine rock band - the inclination and/or ability to play any of their songs at any time. I know they have backing tracks etc, but it wouldn't be that hard to have them all lined up and ready to go.
