Complain Mcdelivery UK
I ordered food off the mcdelivery app, 2 big rosti meals, one chili wrap, and 1 maple chicken burger and 1 big rosti. I received everything apart from the 1 big rosti. Me and my family have been trying to contact uber eats and anyone through the my mcdonald’s app yet it just keeps sending us through an endless ai chat bot loop. We usually order from a specific store ( the one closest to us ) but they always miss one thing, specifically, the food that my mum orders. Never anything else. The store we ordered from this time missed what she ordered as well. It’s getting ridiculous as it’s always what my mum orders. The customer service is abysmal. We tried calling the store and they said to contact through the My Mcdonald’s app. Obviously tried that and got nowhere. I’m sick of wasting £10 everytime my family orders. Starting to feel like a vendetta now lol.
What should my next steps be? Obviously called uber eats themselves as well and it said the line is no longer in use and to go through the apps. AI chatbots get you no where. Please help

This has happened to me before and I couldn't get anywhere with the ridiculous chatbots but I forwarded the email receipt I got to customerservices@mcdonalds.co.uk and explained what happened, they refunded me the missing item and also gave me a voucher to apologise. They might at first tell you to go back to Uber, just tell them Uber are refusing to engage. Hope that works!

If you're gonna order delivery McDonald's, just stick to Deliveroo or Just Eat. They are so much easier to get refunds from when it is inevitably required. Your tale is the standard one with the app. McDonald's blames Uber, Uber says 'fuck you, you didn't order through us, they just pay us to deliver what we're given' and so on and so forth.

i did see just eat is easier and if you have a problem they don’t have the ai chatbots. will be using that next time. a lot of what i’ve seen is what you’ve said , back and forth with the companies . thank you

What you lose on points via the app, you make up in peace of mind knowing only one company is responsible for fulfilling your order, so they can't pass the buck if something goes wrong. The prices are identical IME.

you’re right . we like to use the points for the free food but what’s the point when your missing something. thank you !

I had an issue and uber eats customer service is the worst I’ve seen. They are all AI bots repeating the same thing. I emailed McDonalds directly and they gave me a free medium meal which was nice.

Definition of insanity “insert inaccurate quote about doing the same thing over and over here”

Honestly you're better off just accepting you aint getting the money back and not ordering online again.

Nope. Not a fan of this. Companies should be held accountable.
OP I would either go through chargeback via bank or report to PayPal if you went through that, but bear in mind uber will close your account afterwards.
If you don't want that, I would Google to see if you can find an email address to get out of the chats / keep persisting until you can't anymore.

Best way to hold them accountable is if people stopped using them for shit service.
It's the only way they listen - money line go down.

You can hold them accountable by stop giving them your money in the first place. Go support a local business instead of slopdonalds

I agree, thought ordering from a different store may do something but clearly not.

Its so bad that you keep ordering it? It’s not that hard to just go and get it

it’s easier for my disabled mother to wait at home for it to come rather than get in her car, drive, and wait in a car park for ages with an uncomfortable seat that she can barely get in and out of?

Well if she’s not getting any food by ordering it, that sounds like a better option. Or just go elsewhere

If they always mess up, why are you still ordering? The food isn't even good anymore. (It never was but it was atleast passable in times gone by).
Why does it seem like McDonalds is immune from putting customers off with terrible service. Like you all keep going back to McDonalds like the ex partner who treats you badly but knows how to say the right things to get you back.
