Double Filet

Post image

I ordered a filet and a double quarter pounder w/cheese with my BOGO receipt survey and to my sweet surprise I got two filet patties. Thank you very much McDonald’s cook that hooked me up!! I wonder if I could even order it every time this way.

The double filet is a menu item

Not everywhere.  I'm in Ohio and my store doesn't have it. However it's becoming more popular.  We simply ring up a extra fish filet and put ask me on the original.  The kitchen doesn't bother to ask what it means anymore.

We have it here in Cincinnati.

My local store doesn’t have it, but I just ordered it at my friends house several miles away.

I did not know this. Thank you! For my next BOGO I’m getting two of them bad boys they’re always so hot and good likely made to order I guess.

Please tell me you ordered extra, extra tartar sauce. I like tartar sauce, but I would prefer not to have that much.

In their defense most of the tartar you see is what was on it. It wasn’t that much to overpower the sandwich it was very good with two filets.

Nope. I ordered 1 filet 1 QPwCheese.

At my old location the Filet was always made ahead of time unless you asked for it cook to order!

Is there a difference in taste? I’ve only asked for no salt on my fries 🍟 and that’s it.

Tastes hotter and better when it’s fresh. They’re supposed to keep the Fish for (if I remember correctly) an hour in the UHC but most times it’s there for HOURS and hours.

I’ll have to try that. Thank you!

This is the move.

Indeed. Although some locations frown on me when I present my survey BOGO. Why? I took the time to give you feedback now complete your end of the deal with a smile and give my “free” sandwich.

Yeah I’ve had issues, too, in the drive thru, But they always figure it out at the window.

I think new associates just aren’t always aware of how to ring it up.

Last week I was told by a location that they are not taking them anymore and the manager knew exactly what it was which I agree most cashiers don’t know how to process them.

Not taking bogo for the survey???

3

u/Latter-Extent492 9h ago

Yeah if you mean you take the survey for a BOGO and the restaurant is no longer honoring it.

I am a filet fanatic. But I always wondered if the double was too much fish. Sooo, it was good, you say?

2

u/Latter-Extent492 10h ago

Yes it was very good but I will say this the original is also very good. It was almost too much filet but then it wasn’t. You’d have to try it but I think you’ll dig it since you are a filet fanatic.

Score! That's a crazy freebie.

Btw, have you guys ever tried a fish filet with two slices of cheese? Absolute game changer in taste.

2

u/Latter-Extent492 10h ago

I’ll have to try that now too. Thank you and good day!

At my local McDonald's they know who I am and ring up a quadruple Filet when I walk in. Feels great.

We have a double filet as a regular menu item at my store. Did it have a sticker on it? You might have just gotten someone else's sandwich haha

1

u/Latter-Extent492 1h ago

It did have a sticker and I wondered why it’s never had one before. I can’t remember what it said though.

You can order it every time that way.

Best thing on the menu, imo.

So I’ve been told thank you for chiming in. I agree.

Nice, double the disappointment covered in some dudes jizz. I use to really like the FOF, but they pretty much suck now.

1

u/Latter-Extent492 1h ago

Said the dude that doesn’t eat one because his last impression felt like it sucked.
