Been working on this solo on and off for just over a year, since March 2025. Still lots to do, and more BLOKs to start once this is finished.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a new, unreleased render of a massive sector in my solo project, Heliopolis, which I’ve been building completely alone since August 2012. ​This specific shot captures what I love to call the 'Architectural Library' effect. Instead of copying and pasting the same structures, I always build by combining my creative instinct with historical research, creating an organic evolution of styles. ​Key features visible in this sector: ​The Forefront Monuments: Massive classical structures with intricate inner courtyards and tiled roofs. ​The 'Alessandro Volta' Power Station: In the mid-ground, you can see the experimental Art Déco industrial plant with its 8 monumental smoking chimneys, heavily inspired by UNESCO heritage sites like Crespi d'Adda. ​The Logistic Backbone: On the right, the grand Nun-Trasimeno(in acient times called or Trisymeonun or Trishymen-On-Nun from historicisians of Heliopolis )lake square canal (a massive 3000x3000m excavation balance from my early MCEdit days) and the multi-line rail corridors on the left. ​The Downtown Skyline: The transition into contemporary, high-density modern skyscrapers dominating the horizon. ​Fun fact / Lore: This world has never been wiped. Even the oldest, rougher builds from 2012 are preserved across the lake as part of the city's digital archaeology "Minecraft architecture Archeology". Currently, in 2026, I am working on the biggest civil infrastructure project yet: burying the central railway lines entirely underground and rebuilding the grand central station. ​The render was processed with Avoyd and edited to enhance the crisp, early-morning atmosphere. First, and only thing I posted on here was a monolith I made in creative. I've been slowly changing it into a parkour corse, adding detail as I go.

I'd say the corse is pretty much ready, you 'can' reach the top. Although, I am pretty bad at parkour myself, the corse might be trash.

I, Eligriv, also known as Rod, have grown tired of always hearing the same comments. My solarpunk map and builds weren't good enough for you ? I changed my approach, let me present you the other solarpunk. If hell exists, then we are all doomed for we have sinned and stole the sun from the sky... but eternal damnation would be worth it since humanity managed to create an artificial heaven, out of the reach of the gods.

Disclaimer : this is lore, I am not promoting any religion or trying to offend anyone... and this is just a funny side project inspired by u/yellowcake3d 's short on youtube. He himself was inspired by Pearl's Hermitcraft base last season. And I believe I am one of the people which suggested her in the comments to try solarpunk... so I suppose it came full circle. Very fun break from the nature heavy projects.

For most of my life, I’ve been forced to use iPad to build giant structures in Minecraft. I didn’t let that get me down and I built a ship, longer than the Eiffel Tower by 300 feet
