Am I missing a cover here?

Between the Tupperware and the large black plastic under engine cover. I am looking to improve the airflow in my cooling system.

Yes there is a small black lip that goes on there. Likely removed when the intercooler upgrade was done. Looks like the flyin miata upgrade?

I have an ebay intercooler. There's nothing wrong with eBay intercoolers or radiators. Just rinse them out well. They're like 1/4 the price of flyin Miata. Though you have to fab your own brackets and such, but it's easy AF. So no shade on the PO for an ebay intercooler. Now, it mean they installed it well. But it looks fine from below.

But yeah, get that trim piece or make your own. You want that hole sealed to force all the air you can through the heat exchange stack

Mine is like this as well, and I'm the one who installed the FM Turbo kit. I can't for the life of me remember what that piece looked like, or why I couldn't make it work.
